AM AUCTION NO. 84 MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE APPLICATIONS DISMISSED FOR EITHER FAILING TO FILE OR UNTIMELY FILING OF SECTION 307(B) SHOWING. (DA No. 06-586).

On June 15, 2005, the Media Bureau released a Public Notice containing a list of 802 mutually exclusive AM Auction No. 84 window-filed Form 301 tech box applications. In that Public Notice the Commission defined three categories of mutually exclusive auction applications, detailed the filings required for each mutually exclusive application category, and specified a September 16, 2005, deadline for submitting the required filings to the Commission. This filing deadline was extended to October 31, 2005, because of Hurricane Katrina. Additionally, the Commission stated in that Public Notice that the staff would dismiss, without further processing, the mutually exclusive, window-filed FCC Form 301 tech box application of any applicant included in the June 15, 2005, Public Notice for which the required filing was not submitted by the filing deadline.

Category II mutually exclusive auction applications are applications for which a Section 307(b) showing must be filed by each applicant. By this Public Notice, the Media Bureau announces the dismissal of the AM Auction No. 84 Category II mutually exclusive window-filed FCC Form 301 tech box applications listed in Attachment 84-MXD1 [Ed:See Attached Excel Spreadsheet, DA-06-586A2.xls or DA-06-586A2.pdf] to this Public Notice. Each of the listed applicants either failed to file or untimely filed the required Section 307(b) showing.
