On April 25, 2007, the Commission adopted a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking in the Commission’s Third DTV Periodic Review proceeding (“Third DTV Periodic Review NPRM”), which requested comment on the procedures and rule changes necessary to complete the nation’s transition from analog to digital television (“DTV”). The Third DTV Periodic Review NPRM set deadlines for filing comments and reply comments at 30 and 45 days after publication of the Third DTV Periodic Review NPRM in the Federal Register.
On July 9, 2007, the Third DTV Periodic Review NPRM was published in the Federal Register. Accordingly, comments must be filed on or before August 8, 2007 and reply comments must be filed on or before August 23, 2007.Commenters should follow the filing instructions provided in paragraphs 132 to 137 of the Third DTV Periodic Review NPRM.
