The FCC Has Released Lists of Television Stations that Intend to Terminate Analog Service on or Before June 12.

On March 13,2009, the Commission released its Third Report and Order in response to the Congressional extension of the digital television transition deadline. 927 stations have notified the Commission that they will continue to provide regular analog television broadcast programming to viewers until the end of the transition on June 12. 158 stations intend to terminate analog service prior to June 12,2009. In this Order, the FCC takes the next actions necessary to implement the DTV Delay Act, which was enacted into law on February 11, 2009.

Congress extended the DTV transition deadline from February 17, 2009, to June 12, 2009 to provide consumers additional time to prepare for the transition from analog to digital broadcasting. The Act directed the FCC to implement the provisions, and carry out the purposes of the Act within 30 days.
