On March 13,2009, the Commission released its Third Report and Order in response to the Congressional extension of the digital television transition deadline. 927 stations have notified the Commission that they will continue to provide regular analog television broadcast programming to viewers until the end of the transition on June 12. 158 stations intend to terminate analog service prior to June 12,2009.
