Cavell Mertz & Associates is in their 11th year as faculty for the NAB’s Broadcast Leadership Training program. Each year since 2002, the team has been invited back to teach the participants, which consist primarily of broadcast owners and managers, the basic concepts of broadcast engineering, new trends in broadcast engineering and how to find, hire and keep engineering staff.
The National Association of Broadcasters Education Foundation (NABEF) created the Broadcast Leadership Training Program (BLT) to enable talented senior level broadcast executives who aspire to advance as group executives or station owners – particularly women and people of color – to be exposed to the fundamentals of purchasing, owning, and the successful operation of radio and television stations. BLT is a 10-month Executive MBA-style program. Participants meet one weekend a month at NAB Headquarters.
